Cool buy
It works well. I was able to find the stud in my walls.

It's okay
It's a little confusing but maybe I just don't know how to use it right yet. It's light and not heavy, I love how it's got the little triangle at the top so I can mark it when it finds a stud very helpful.

Shows edges and center of wood
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I picked this one because it showed the edges and center of the 2x4 making it easier to choose the right spot to support a heavy object in the wall.

Completely unreliable
This stud finder was frustrating from the start. The plastic casing feels cheap and flimsy, but the bigger issue is how often it decalibrates. It constantly needed to be recalibrated, sometimes multiple times within the same wall. Even after confirming the location of a stud more than once, it gave different results each time.I ended up drilling in the wrong spot because it couldn’t stay consistent. In some cases, it didn’t detect the stud at all. The whole point of a stud finder is accuracy, and this one failed completely. Total waste of time and money.

Good enough for what you pay for it
It's good at detecting studs, but the live wire detection tool doesn't function properly. It will say there is a live wire on every surface regardless of what it is, to include an empty cardboard boxes. I might have just received a defective unit though.

Excellent STUD finder
Works as advertised, and the live wire nearby feature is an excellent feature! I also like how it can tell where the center of the stud is! For calibrating I usually point it at myself and the Stud detector just goes off the charts.

Cheap and unreliable
It’s astonishing how difficult it is to find an actual reliable stud finder. I had high hopes from this one, especially considering the price but I was instantly disappointed. First off, it feels very cheap. The plastic base feels incredibly flimsy and fragile, and if you dropped this on a somewhat hard surface I’d guarantee this device would crack.But the main use of it is what matters, and this was subpar at best. It would either mis the stud fully or be off by a couple inches… My 15 year old stud finder that’s unfortunately barely holding on, is still more reliable than a more modern device like this one.
