I have read that other people have had problems getting this software installed. I'm not sure what their issue is. Within a second of ordering this and completing the checkout, I got a link to download the software and the activation code. I followed the link, downloaded the installer, and ran the install tool. I think the process took 5 minutes at the most.I have bought a similar product on Amazon Marketplace before. It involved several non-intuitive steps and gave me the impression that I might be doing something illegal. This product appears to be directly from Microsoft, but hosted by Amazon. All of the steps gave me the impression that I was totally above board and totally legal.I am a "home" user. To me, that means that on occasion, I need to create an excel spreadsheet or write a letter or something. I could probably use one of the free office suites, but I use some of the functionality that is only in excel. But I don't feel that my use case could justify buying the "Pro" version. As far as I can tell, the home version has all the features that I need and at a fraction of the cost. This is certainly a good value for me.

Great to get the immediate digital download of software and it easily installed. I tried to purchase directly from Microsoft site but couldn’t complete the purchase there. I don’t like that I had to create a Microsoft account and login to install the digital download. Back in the day, installing an app allowed optional registration. But I guess it’s needed to apply updates and such.

I have used Microsoft Office on a Mac for years and love it. However, as others have said, to get Office 2024 working was a nightmare.I called tech support yesterday 3 times and was on hold for a total of over 4 hours. I was accidentally disconnected twice after holding for over an hour each time and never spoke to a technical support person.I did finally figure out on my own how to get the software up and running and wanted to share.As others have said, set up a Microsoft account if you do not have one and sign in before you make your purchase.Install went smoothy for me and since others have covered that topic, I will just cover after the install.None of the applications worked after the install.I will share an example of the fix with Word, but this process will need to be done with Excel, One Note and PowerPoint.I opened Word and clicked “Word” in the upper left corner of my Mac.From the pull down I selected “About Microsoft Word.”On the window that pops up it said “License: Not Activated”I then selected “More Info.”From that pop up window I selected “Refresh License.”This will take you to your Microsoft account to sign in.I then got an error code that said “Could Not Refresh License Error Code 44.”Thinking well that was a waste of time, I went on to do other things.About 30 minutes later I thought I would try again and to my surprise instead of the “About Microsoft Word” window saying “License: Not Activated” it said License: Office Home 2024 and everything was working perfectly.Evidentially it takes a few minutes to actually refresh the license.Hope this is helpful and saves someone else the frustration and aggravation I experienced over getting Microsoft Office Home 2024 working.

So theres lots of reviews about the difficult if installing this software vs 365….I read many reviews, and have to agree with what many people said, reading the reviews took MUCH longer than getting it to work haha.Although what worked for me may be different from the start. It was a combo of a few suggestions.So I was starting with a new PC out of box that came already installed with 365. I made sure I was logged in to Microsoft account on the internet browser first.Then instead of clicking install/download after typing in the product id, since my computer already had 365 installed, I tried to see if opening Excel, while logged in with the active purchase/subscription would work.Well it first opened up a couple screens, one said “sorry we cant confirm your subscription” sort of notice but same time another screen popped up saying microsoft apps need to update. So I closed the first notice about subscription, figured the update may be needed first, did that, reset Excel and when it opened again it recognized my subscription. Also to note tho, I was logged in on my PC thru the same Windows account too.Once Excel updated, it worked great, it said it recognizes my Home 2024 product and then each app that was already installed worked too right away such as Word and PowerPoint.Overall very happy with the purchase, I am a cheap skate, and held off this long because of monthly fees with 365, but this was a happy median for me, it was on sale and I hopefully get at least several years out of the product, for about the price of one year subscription….

Not bad so far. I am able to open old docx and xls files from an old computer once I finally installed the same font. You need to be logged in to your Microsoft account or create one and log in to download the exe file to install the software. The download stated that Office 365 was being installed but it was actually Office 2024 being installed. That worried me for a bit because I did not want Office 365. The layout and interface is different than what I am used to but is slowly beginning to make more sense.

I originally purchased this upgrade because I needed live captions for presentations to disabled audiences. I was disappointed to see that once I downloaded it I was unable to do that. That isn’t the seller’s problem. It is Microsoft’s greed that you additionally have to purchase a monthly subscription in order to access the full benefits of these products. I tried to purchase directly from Microsoft prior to reaching out to the seller. Their system failed on every attempt to purchase. I purchased from the seller and it was quick and I had absolutely no problem.
