This is a replacement to a purchase some years ago. It is well made and simple to operate. The purchase was simple and the items arrived intact, on time, well packed and as described.

Their light weight - easy to install/put together. I bought a 6 port USB hub to centralise the charging. Have only used once for the team so far. Sound is OK range between 10-15m inside a building of 2 floors. This is the first time I purchase these kind of tech. Definitely is an OK budget walkie talkie.

Used these back stage in a theatre putting on a show for a dance school. We had 5 in use at the same time communicating between runners, stage manager and teachers. They worked flawlessly and would have given 5 stars but everyone complained their ears got sore from the ear piece’s.Will be looking for compatible head phones.

I was really excited to get one of these but quite disappointed when opening the boxes when it arrived today as noticed that there's rust on the other items, but most on the picture i uploaded.

So this set of 6 PMR 446 sets caught my eye as they should be simple enough for anyone to operate.There are Three boxes, with each box containing two handheld transceivers, two batteries, two USB charging docks, two ear pieces, two wrist strap, two belt clips and user guide. The radios have a plastic outer case with a diecast chassis and a fixed antennas. They are solid enough and should survive the odd knock. The battery packs slot on the rear and 1500mAh in capacity. The drop in docks being used for charging.These radios are designed to the PMR 446 standard. For those that don't know this is a license free UHF band for use by everyone. So remember that these are open frequencies. Particularly when giving them to children. In terms of range environment will have a bigger impact than the actual hardware. So you should always consider them for short range coms. Though in the right conditions they can surprise youuThese are pretty easy to use and appear to based of the BF888 chassis. So they have a voice prompt and a rotary channel selector for the 16 PMR446 channels. The audio is quite crisp if at little quiet in some conditions. For weaker signals there is a monitor button to open the squelch. In operation the reports from other stations where good, and the receive audio was clear. The supplied earpieces seem to work well enough. Knowing the specifications of the radios that these are based off of, you maybe able to enable DCSS and CTCSS tones using a programming cable.I would have liked to have seen a little more discount for 6 radios. The price roughly works out about the same as buying similar sets in pairs. However they are still relatively inexpensive and work very well. So if you need a set of simple license free radios they are worth looking at.
