It worked with a small kind of ambitious tweeking. Needed to space the mechanism back a tad more with spacers so hands wouldn't hit the glass on the clock. So far it's accurate and been running 3 months so I give it a tumbs up. It came with two mechanisms of two sizes in depth which were both different that the one I had and I made it fit. There are a few types of hands also if you want more charm on your clock. I will use the 2nd mechanism on another clock when I have nothing to do. This kit is good and has keep perfect time better than any clocks I have had. I took a chance with this kit and it worked. I bought like 4 clocks the past few years and most keep losing a few minutes a week or like 5 min a month so I'm very pleased with these.

This would have been 5 stars if there were any instructions at all. Watch how your clock goes together as you disassemble it, and look at the customer videos, particularly the first one from Ycoyx9tx. It's not hard, but the picture that people refer to does not mention the order of the washers and rings. I put the black washer on the mechanism then pushed the shaft through the hole, so the black washer stayed on the back of the clock face. Then on the front, I put the round gold washer, then the hexagonal one (tighten the hexagonal one gently but snugly). Then I pushed the hour hand on, then the minute hand. Lastly I screwed the little cap screw into the shaft.

Silent movement doesn't distract from family games. My design turned out to be a bit small, could have made it bigger with the same motor. Installed easily, should last forever. Fun project!

So I bought these for an old clock that quite working, I put it all together and couldn't get it to work. Took it apart and tried again and it worked for a while but then stopped. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong or it the mechanism isn't working. I'm going to get someone else to look at it and I'll write and update

This stuff does not work. I bet the positive reviews just didn't bother when they stopped working, perhaps outside return window.Even though Amazon was great about replacing and refunding my money, the time I wasted and ultimately did not get a working version, is ridiculous. I was very careful to make sure it was installed properly and hands don't collide. I used fresh non-alkaline batteries as required in ad (good luck finding those - they are required for poorly designed mechanisms - look it up).Original order: One stopped after several hours. Touch clock and it starts again. Reliably fails. Other seemed ok.Amazon send replacement.Replacement order: One is seized - setting wheel won't even turn. Other one stops after hours like original order.So, 3 out of 4 mechanisms didn't work. THEN the only working one stops working. Touch clock and it starts again.So, 4 out of 4 mechanisms don't work - one actually lasting close to two weeks.I won't be ordering any more replacements - it looks like these are all made by the same place and sold by different resellers.I'm going to have to buy new clocks since repair does not appear to be an option. One clock I am trying to fix lasted 35 years! Now China makes these as cheaply as possible and has gone too far.Very disappointing. Likely poorly made components just seize up eventually and need a nudge to get going again. Save your money and time. Amazon should be flagging these. It was "Amazon's Choice"!

Kit had everything I needed.Be smart and order a kit with hands....it is virtually impossible to get the old hands to fit properly. I tried to use the original hands because the clock size was an oddball and the small hands that came with the kit were a little too large. I spend hours trying to get the old hands to fit the shaft properly and not rub the face or the other hand.Finally used a pair of scissors to modify the "small" hands that came with the kit and in 5 minutes everything was working properly. It has run for 48 hours with no problems.
