At last, a Solid Reliable Mouse
Since I spend significant amounts of time using the Linux Command Line Interface, a reliable mouse is a MUST have tool. I wish that I had purchased this Cherry USB Mouse instead of the over-hyped gaming mouse that it replaced. By adhering to the KISS concept, this two button Cherry USB Mouse, with a scroll wheel, provides required functionality with the promise of a very long lifespan. My ONLY complaint is that I had to suffer through pages of wanna be mice before discovering this one.

Great Wired Mouse
Love this mouse. No more spotty Internet connections, dropping letters, or sticking keys. This is a real keeper.

Comfortable & Quiet
It is comfortable and quiet! I thought a mouse is a mouse but not true. It came with the adapter which is very convenient if you have an older PC that has those connectors; I do but I did not get this for that. The mouse size and sleek design was comfortable in either my right or left hand. The cursor moved freely without having to lift the mouse from the table. I did not even know that was something I did until I didn’t have to. Just that made the experience much quieter but in addition the buttons were fairly quiet and the center scrolling wheel was almost silent! This was a wonderful surprise. I thought all mice made that clicking noise.I highly recommend this device it’s functional , comfortable and peaceful. I got this for my home laptop but I’m going to take it to work, I can use the peace and quiet. Can’t we all?

Good value for a basic corded mouse
I am one of those people who actually prefers a wired mouse, so there are no batteries to die in the middle of a project or game-play. At first when I opened the box for this mouse, I thought it had the wrong type of connection for my laptop, then I realized it just had an adapter attached to the USB connector. It's not something I need, but it would be useful for anyone who has a desktop or laptop with a PS/2 connection. Once I removed the adapter, it was the mouse I expected. This is a basic, full-sized, two-button, optical, wired mouse, with a scroll wheel, and it was immediately recognized when I plugged it into my laptop. The mouse can be used with either the right or left hand, and it fits very comfortably in my hand. The buttons are not silent, but they are not obnoxiously loud, just enough to let you know your press has been acknowledged. The scroll wheel also makes a little noise, but not much. The buttons and scroll wheel are very responsive and work as expected. The 1000 DPI is less than my other mice, but still sufficient for most casual and business uses. Although it's not wireless, with a cord more than 16 feet long, I don't even notice that I am tethered to the computer. The mouse feels sturdy and durable, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a simple, reliable mouse.

A good option for the casual user
I am not a gamer, nor do I use my computer for work. I am the definition of a casual user. Because of that, my experience with different mouse options is limited. That said, I personally found this mouse to be a good option for my limited needs, and I have no complaints.I do prefer a wired mouse for my home setup so I don't need to consider batteries. I got this one to replace an ancient Dell mouse, and though similar, I prefer this one. I like the size, which fits my medium hand perfectly. It is lightweight without being too light, and is very tactile in both the buttons and the wheel. It is beyond easy to install, being plug and play.Surprisingly, it came with a legacy port adaptor. It's a nice touch, I guess, but probably a waste of materials for most people. It suggests that this mouse is being marketed towards people trying to revive an old PC.My only real criticism is that there is nothing that really sets this apart from any other mouse on the market. The bare-bones classic approach works well for me, but I can see where others might like to get a bit more for the value. That said, I'm happy with it and would recommend it to any other casual user that prefers a wired mouse.

a very adequate mouse from a top name in keyboards
I use a Cherry Stream keyboard at my computer and really like it. Cherry is known for their mechanical keyboard switches, which are used in many high-end and enthusiast keyboards because of their precise feel and sound. So when I saw that they had a mouse, I grabbed one. It's actually a pretty basic basic mouse, but that also means it doesn't have weird buttons or scroll wheel shenanigans that can get in your way (and malfunction). It has no extra buttons at all, just the two. The sensor is fairly high resolution, the two buttons click in a satisfying way (as you would expect from them). The clock noise is about average but louder than my Logitech mice. The scroll wheel doesn't have any mushiness or play to it and it's on the quieter side. The body of the mouse has an odd, almost "retro" shape to it. If you're used to ergonomically-sculpted mice (Logitech for example) this will seem very plain. It works okay. My only gripe is that the sides angle inwards as they go down. That might make it very easy to lift the mouse with your fingers but it feels like every movement might lift the mouse. My fingers tend to drag on the mousepad.Best of all, this is highly compatible. It even works with my picky KVM switch, which rejects most mice. This mouse also came with a PS/2 adapter which tells you a bit about their target customer.
