Great value for price, just plug it in and it works

Plug and play, no AC power needed.I've got 4 servers (2 Windows server and 2 Proxmox (Linux) connected via the include cables, no connectivity issues, nor drivers needed.I did not need to reboot the systems that were already powered on when I connected.Note that these are proprietary cables and aren't too long.KVM works with DisplayPort to VGA adapters as well.I have a wireless keyboard/trackball combo connected to it.Great value for the price, as long as your systems are relatively close.Build quality seems fine, the KVM itself is small and light and could slid around your workspace. The extended port switch is handy for this and can be placed in a much more convenient locationYou'll need to provide a VGA cable for connecting your monitor to the KVM.When switching with either the buttons on the kvm or the extended switch button, there is no delay with video or kbd/mouse.I can't comment on the screen resolution limits, as the monitor in use is a small 17" Dell designed for a server rack with a resolution of 1280x1024.

Works great with macOS, Windows, and Linux

Awesome, worked with my macOS, Windows, and Linux machines seamlessly. I like having three USB ports to make it easy to also switch my webcam between machines. The wired remote to change ports is pretty long. Only minor thing is my computers are in my bedroom and the blue light on the device is pretty powerful, so it'd be nice if there was a switch to turn off the blue light, but I can just put duct tape over the lights.

Easy to connect, works great!

This switch works great with older computers. It has USB and VGA connectors. The remote selector button is very handy and the included cables were a good length for computers in a rack. It's built well. It's been in use for a few months now with no problems.

Here's my story!

Aug 16, 2022This is for the DGODRT-US 4 port USB KVM switch. This is a replacement for an older PS/2 2-port KVM activated via hotkeys for Windows 2000 and XP. That system worked flawlessly. I've since added 2 more computers, and purchased this switch to accommodate. My setup is unique, which may be of help for those with questions. I have this set up with 4 computers: Vista, Windows 10, Windows 2000, and Windows XP. Switching between the computers (with the wired key device - nice option!) is as follows: Vista & W10 - no issues what-so-ever. XP - Switch acts like a connect / disconnect, so sometimes it takes a few seconds to be recognized, but then works flawlessly. If I start XP first, it will not boot. It seems the KVM needs to be activated before hand, which XP will not do. I need to fire up Vista or W10 first, then switch over to XP at the start of the boot. Windows 2000 is a problem. Connecting a USB mouse and keyboard directly, without the KVM works perfectly. Using the KVM causes large mouse and keyboard delays, jumps, and lost input information. I've tried switching USB ports and switching keyboards and mice. I cannot find any solution to make these inputs work smoothly. As of now, I keep all plugs in, but have a PS/2 keyboard and mouse connected to the W2000 at all times. Video monitor has no issues with any system, unless XP doesn't boot because no devices were detected. I could plug in a PS/2 mouse and keyboard (and stash them in the back) just for bootup purposes if I wanted. Final word: An inexpensive option that works well for newer systems. For older systems, a KVM switch that has scanning may work better. This switch is a good value and easy to use if your systems are newer.Aug 23, 2022 - Followup: I finally did find an excellent solution. After trying a half dozen mice and various keyboards, I decided to try my Logitech K330 wireless keyboard and mouse. I installed these on each computer individually, then plugged the receiver into the KVM port. My results are excellent, with perfect startup and response from each. Just make sure the proper key button is pressed as soon as a computer is turned on.

Clean video, no glitches. Remote did not function.

This KVM worked well for me. Installation was simple - one VGA, one USB per PC. I initially had some issues with the screens not being centered on the display for two of the four attached PCs, but that seemed to sort itself out.The only issue I had was that the tiny remote-control switch did not work. It would only let me select two of the four PCs. Since I really didn't need the remote, it was OK.One request to the manufacturer: Have ALL cables, including the local console, exit from the BACK of the unit. My unit is awkwardly balanced on top of one of the 4 PCs, and the cables coming out the front are difficult to deal with.
