It works

I'm so surprised this actually worked on my MacBook Pro m3 pro chip. I have a belkin docking station with 2 extended monitors which is the max you can have for this configuration of MacBook. Then I got this display link adapter connected to my third monitor and plugged the wavlink adapter to my docking station and it actually worked! I have 3 extended monitors working on a MacBook. I do notice the refresh rate is slower than the other two some times but it's perfect for what I need it for

Thank goodness, 4k @ 60hz on MacOS

Setup: Macbook Pro 16" Nov 2023 - M3 Pro running macOS 15.1.1 (Sequoia)3 x LG Ultrafine 32" (32UP83A-W, 60hz displays)Two are driven directly from the computer, but that's the most the M3 Pro can support, so I needed a solution for the third monitor.I previously made the mistake of buying a Plugable single 4k DisplayLink adapter a couple of months ago without checking to see if it would operate at 60hz. It did not and clearly stated it in the product description... but I slacked, and so my third monitor has just been a place to set infrequently used apps (email, notes). Even still, I could not handle using those apps on that monitor and would have to drag them to one of my two other displays. The latency of my mouse cursor was simply infuriating.I just received this WAVLINK a couple of hours ago and immediately swapped out the Plugable unit. I didn't even have to install new drivers, which is good, since the URL on the WAVLINK pamphlet included with this product seemed to redirect to their home page instead of the product page. That said, I have to assume this WAVLINK is using the same DisplayLink driver as my plugable unit and thus the software I already had installed was correct. It's definitely as snappy as my computer-driven displays so I'm no longer having to sigh every time my mouse jitters across the screen. It's been consistently on for the last two hours without any disconnects or hangups, and came back to life after I tested putting the computer to sleep and waking it (sometimes the monitor on the old Plugable adapter would stay black and require unplugging/plugging in)Ambient room temperature is 72*F, infrared temperature gun shows this adapter at 90*F. It's not my primary display thus I'm still just utilizing it for lesser-used apps, so maybe it would get a little warmer if I were to use it more. I'd also assume it'd get warmer if I actually used both HDMI outputs, but I only required one. That was long winded, but in conclusion: This solved the problem, and I wish I had bought it in the first place. The Plugable single 4k (30hz, read the fine print!) adapter was - and is - the same price as this WAVLINK... and I should have returned it when I had the opportunity.

Perfect solution to get around GPU limitations

This is my 2nd Wavlink USB to HDMI adapter. These are a fantastic way of getting around GPU limitations that prevent adding additional monitors. In my case, I have both of them connected to different HP EliteDesk SFF PC's with the UHD 630 GPU. That GPU has a 3 monitor limit, so adding a 4th or 5th monitor can't be done with standard adapters. Since this one acts as it's own GPU (with the driver), I was able to add a 4th monitor (actually an HDMI switch with PiP) to one of my HP's and add a 5th monitor to another one.

Great item

Works well overall. The picture quality was not as nice as my anker, so I opted not to use for my everyday, because the difference was noticeable. However it was not enough to send back and I will be able to use a backup. It seems to be quite durable. It's is about the same width and length as my anker, but is thicker. Again, solid product, it is always great to have more than one cord, plus, adapter or "dongle."

It actually works the way it's supposed to!

I was skeptical. I have two external monitors and generally show three screens extended: laptop, screen 1 and screen 2. I have a number of USB-C-to-HDMI cables that I've used successfully in this way, but the Dell laptop I recently purchased does not output video via USB-C. It's a lower end model, and confirmed in the manual. (whoever heard of such a thing?) Anyway, I thought that my days of outputting to 2 monitors were over with this new laptop. I did not really think that this thing would work, but I was desperate...Plot twist! The WAVLINK adapter (using the USB-A connection) TOTALLY DID IT. Laptop screen+extended on screen 1 and extended on screen 2. I'm just using the laptop for regular email/Word/powerpoint stuff, so I can't say on gaming (it's not recommended for gaming) but it totally solved my issue. Beyond surprised.Note that it took about 2 minutes for the internal windows driver management apparatus to detect and install whatever native drivers were needed. At first I thought I was going to have to manually go get the drivers, but while I was typing in the wavlink website, the screens popped to life. Totally worth the money.

Works Simply and Directly

I have a MacBook M2. I've hooked up two additional 4K monitors (one 27" and one curved 34"), and the refresh, color, and mouse handling are excellent.
