It does what it is supposed to do. I started off today with the vest and a one-pound weight (in the front) and my two-mile time was the same as without the vest. Tomorrow I'll add a one-pound weight in the back and see how that does.It's comfortable, the shoulder straps don't dig in, it balances well, and the side straps are fairly-easily adjustable.My only caveat is that the front pocket is not deep enough for my phone in its case. It fits, but I can't close it with the velcro.Oh, yeah, it does smell, but it's not horrible.

I looked at many vests before deciding on this one; the fact that I could adjust the weight was a big selling point for me. I had done some minimal rucking and thought a vest would be good. I read other reviews on this product and I agree that it does have a bit of an unpleasant odor when it is first unpacked. Not overpowering, but definitely present for days.... HOWEVER, the smell did not transfer to my clothes - so big win for that. I got this vest a couple of weeks ago and have used it nearly every day for walking. My first time, I used all the weights (so a total of 20 pounds). After about 1.5 miles, my shoulders were hurting. After I took it off, my shoulders had red marks where the vest was sitting. For my second use, I took off 5 pounds (two of the little weighted bags) and it was definitely better. No red marks, so I guess the original 20 pounds was just too heavy for me? My shoulders and body ached a bit for several days (not unbearable) but I am pleased to say that a couple of weeks later, I am still at the 15 pound level, and can wear it comfortably now for up to 4 miles (I could probably wear it longer, just haven't done so yet). I was surprised that I was/am sore in the places I was (a little bit in legs and core) - so I guess it is doing something good for me. I definitely feel I am "working harder" when I walk with the vest - heart beats harder/faster, I can feel it pretty much everywhere, and have find myself sweating. So overall, after getting myself use to it, and experimenting to find the right weight for me, I am glad I purchased this vest! Though it does look like I am wearing a bullet proof vest on my walks....

I have tried several different vests and this one is my top choice for a few reasons:1. I like how the weight is evenly distributed on my torso. I have neck and back issues and a vest that simply comes around my shoulders and down my back puts too much pressure on my neck and shoulders. This distributes the weight on my chest and back and around my torso.2. I like that the weight is adjustable. I think you should start small and build in weight and time using it.3. It a comfortable fit.4. The material is good quality and seems to be durable5. It is easy to put on and take off.6. The adjustable weights are easy to change and the Velcro is durable. When the product arrives it does need to off gas a little so be sure to take it out of the package and air it out.

This vest has been a game changer! I have lost 8 pounds walking with this almost everyday while getting my 10,000 steps. I love how the weight can be evenly distributed in the front and back. I have friends who have bought a vest where the weight is not evenly distributed and they have experienced back problems. The vest is also weight adjustable where others I have seen are just a certain weight and that's it. I see quite a few reviews on here about the smell.Yes it does have almost a wet suit smell and it is strong at first. I am very sensitive to smells and I have noticed the smell is dissipating. Just sweat in it and get your own smell on it people!! Typically I wear leggings with pockets to hold my phone, keys, etc. however the pocket on the vest come in very handy. The adjustable sides help to make the fit perfect. I have recommended this vest to multiple people and they are all happy with it.

The actual design, fit and the fact you can change the weight is amazing. I just which the off gassing wasn't so bad. After 3 weeks of sitting out to "air out" and hoping it would decrease, it still smells like a rubber factory. The off gas of this vest is so strong I couldn't even try to use it. Just putting it around my neck , the fumes were so strong I couldn't stand it. So unfortunately this is being returned and I'm trying a different brand.

I tried another highly rated weight vest but it was just too uncomfortable in the shoulders. A friend had one of these and recommended that I try it. So far it is working great. Much more comfortable and rides well. My only regret is that I bought the 11-20lb one and I already want to add more weight, but it is very difficult to do that at this point. I am actually taking the weight bags from my old vest and tucking them inside to add a little more. But only ads 5 lbs. Still great vest overall and fit is fine.

I can’t say enough good things about this weighted vest! It’s so adjustable that I even bought one for my husband. It’s so has a front mesh pocket for your keys or phone, and removable weights so you can add or remove them if you’re not comfortable. It’s so has really made a difference in my three mile walks, it’s certainly kicked it a notch! The quality is amazing and I would definitely recommend it.
