We are amateur photographers, our main use case is to take pictures of our family and trips. We got this cage for additional protection for our camera as we will be carrying it around with us and in our bags. We don’t have too many uses for the additional mounting points, but it is nice to have. The cage itself is light and sturdy without being too bulky. For added protection, we believe this is great to have.

Nice little cage. Provides multiple ways to attach equipment. Also, provides camera body protection to some degree.

Great cage for my camera. Makes the camera extra sturdy and adds protection. Also good cold show locations to add lights or microphones.

Already saved my camera, had it on a tripod and it got knocked over, cage took the brunt of the impact and probably saved my camera.

Are you kidding me?? Why not put the tool to tighten the cage to the camera on the camera? Every other cage has oneYes it's in the box but , separately. Other then that great product

The media could not be loaded. I used my camera for a lot of film work and needed this cage for safety. After sometime I ended up mostly using this camera for podcasts and video calls and had setup the camera on top of my pc. Years go by of using it like this and a shelf I had wall mounted above my pc gives out. It and the countless hard copies of books crash onto my desk. Since my camera was set up on top of my pc one end of the shelf lands on the corner of the camera cage. It held up the entire shelf and prevented all my monitors, custom keyboard and glass panels on my pc from breaking.This cage not only saved my camera but saved thousands in expensive equipment.

Product was very well built and sturdy, felt great in my hands. Unfortunately I read somewhere that it would fit a A6000 and bought it. While the camera does fit, it had to block a few features on the camera. So I am returning it and hopefully using the same vendor for the right model.

The Smallrig cage fit my A6600 snugly ... maybe, *too* snugly. I say that because once you attach some of the larger lenses or adapters to the A6600, the cage no longer fits. Even with the 18-135 "kit" lens, I've found that you must remove the camera strap rings from the A6600 in order for the cage to fit flush. But once I did, I really liked the feel in my hand, and appreciated the extra protection the cage afforded.But once I mounted the Sony LA-EA4 ("monster adapter") along with an older Sigma 24-70 2.8 lens, the cage became a "no-go" -- which was a real disappointment, because I'm back to "square-one" trying to find a solution to accommodate the A6600 body, the LA-EA4, and the Sony 70-300 tele lens."Oh, well!"
