Great for watching television if you have poor eyesight
I'm registered blind and need to use a monocular to watch television. This is tiring on the arm and a high magnification is unnecessary. This little, cheap, pocket sized monocular has worked out great for me. It's small size and super light weight make it easy to hold up while I am watching a show and the image is good enough for my peripheral vision to make out, roughly, what is happening. The wrist lanyard seems to be giving way, despite only being used for a short time but I am not too bothered about that as the monocular just sits in the coffee table drawer until needed.Bought another for watching the television in our bedroomFor the price, this solves a very real problem.

Useful
Bought this to slip into my pocket when out walking. It is lightweight, easy to use and inexpensive and thus a handy little piece of equipment. Quite a sharp focus although it needs to be recognised that its range is limited.

Light and pocketable
I bought this item mainly to observe birds and butterflies while out walking. I was pleased that it was light in weight and easily pocketable. I liked the focussing lever arrangement which allows it to be used one-handed. The focal length is set by the dioptre adjustment on the eyepiece. I was particularly interested in its close focussing distance (for butterflies) and this seemed to be about 75cms at one end of the dioptre scale and 115cms at the other. The only thing which didn't seem to work very well was the rubber fold down eye cups for spectacle wearers - I found the eye cups too thick to fold down neatly.

Effective little monocular with fair amount of magnification.
This is a tiny, lightweight monocular with decent magnification for looking at distant larger objects (e.g. wouldn’t recommend for birdwatching). It meets my needs for just a general purpose viewer to look through when I’m sitting on a terrace wanting to watch something - for example I am current on a balcony in Cap d’Agde watching a large fire across the bay (~1\2km) trying to see the cause!I ordered while available from a uk supplier - not sure I’ll order another now it’s coming from China as I’d be very concerned about the quality.

Junk... better ones out there for £10 more
Bought this as a pocket monocular, wish I'd kept all the packaging so I could have sent it back. It's too small to be practical the small diameter of the eye piece and the lens plus the magnification means it's so hard to actually find what you're looking for, and if the object is in low light or shade, you'll never find it. May work as a cheap telescopic lens for a smart phone but as a monocular it's junk.

Good value for money.
I wanted to know what bird or gargoyle was making weird gurgling noises in my tree. This was perfect, turns out it was a Jay. Not for looking at stars or planets but works fine for every day use. Small and compact I keep it in my bag for rubber-necking. Recommended.

Great mini monocular
Great mini monocular and quite clear. Perfect for the kids as it fits in their hand and the push knob to focus rather than a focus wheel is much easier to understand. Not sure about ‘waterproofness’ yet but time will tell. Not on a par with anything expensive but great to get kids exploring the outdoors more. Also so small it’ll easily fit in your pocket.

Hand size
Not very useful as the distance is extremely short.
