ELEGOO Mega R3 Project The Most Complete Ultimate Starter Kit with Tutorial Compatible with Arduino IDE

This kit got me into the world of C++. As a programmer of ladder, SFC, SQL, FBD, ST, python, and java, it was my intro to C++. I highly recommend this kit and the tutorials.

I bought the ELEGOO Mega R3 Ultimate Starter Kit to get hands-on experience with Arduino, and I’m really happy with the purchase. The kit comes with a Mega 2560 board and a huge variety of components like sensors, motors, LEDs, and more. Everything was well-organized in a plastic case, making it easy to keep things sorted.One of the best things about this kit is the tutorial. The step-by-step guides are clear and easy to follow, which is really helpful for beginners. The sample codes work well, and you can tweak them to understand how each component works.The quality of the components is good for the price. Some jumper wires were a bit flimsy, but they still did great job. The Mega 2560 board itself works just like the official Arduino board, and I had no issues connecting it to my laptop.Overall, this is a great kit for anyone who wants to learn electronics and programming with Arduino. It has everything needed to start experimenting and building projects. I would definitely recommend it to beginners and hobbyists.

Everything in this box came in really good shape. My only complaint is that the instructions are extremely dated. It took me over 2 hours to get it to read the port, I had to download an additional driver off of a link from a YouTube video. The instructions say to input the board as Adruino Genuino, this is not an option anymore as Adruino has done away with that board. I downloaded the Adruino 2.3.4 and the only way the code would run was by selecting Adruino Mega (not adruino uno) as my board. This honestly took me a few hours to figure out as I am a beginner but it did end up working with some effort. There is little help on the website, if you have issues I suggest going on a forum. Regardless, I’m excited to finally having fun with it!They really need to update their instructions though because WOW!

Awesome starter kit for learning Arduino. Everything you need to build simple projects, learning about microcontrollers, programming, and how to interface with the various sensors. This board is bigger than the other Arduino's (Uno, Nano) and is better if you have many inputs or outputs that you want to connect to it at one time. If you don't have a plan for this big of a board then I'd recommend the Nano form factor, as it can plug directly into your breadboard and is a little easier to manage. There is a great tutorial series by "Top Tech Boy" Paul McWhorter on his website, https://toptechboy.com/, and on YouTube. I'm sure there are lots of other tutorials as well. I also recommend getting a set of breadboard jumper wires for more tidy and sturdy breadboarding. Have fun!
