Honestly, when I bought it, I was a bit scared because it looked very simple and for the use I would give it, I didn't see it as reliable, but on the contrary, it has left me delighted because I put a lot of weight on it and it even holds more, it is very helpful. I hope you find it very helpful as it was for me, and the price is excellent, used ones are more expensive in the marketplace, this is a good choice, good price, new and excellent product 👍👋👋

Does hold 500lbs. For the price, I was totally expecting it to show some weakenesses, maybe even break in half. But it held stout, without even flinching. I did a jumping test as soon as I assambled it ( I weight 195lbs), I jumped on it several times and could not feel any flexing of any kind. Am super pleased with this purchase, considering similar used products sell for about the same amount on the marketplace. I carried 500lbs of drain field rocks from my local home improvement store to my house (2 mile trip).

I bought this at a 44% discount from it's original list price and for good reason but I only found out once I unpackaged the box. The cargo carrier comes in several pieces. The frame on one of the baskets was warped from the factory as you can see by the picture. This of course caused the cross brace holes not to align with the holes from the baskets. I had to drill the holes to make them bigger so the bolts could fit. Once that was done, I did a weight test and the cargo carrier seems solid and sturdy enough to hold it's 500 LBS capacity rating. For the price I paid, it's an excellent value but then again it turned into a bigger DIY project. Hopefully this cargo carrier will pay itself off after 1 or 2 trips I have planned. The included cargo bag, net and (2x) rachet straps is an added bonus.

Easy to assemble, strong materials, and looks nice also.

This is a great product that offers a fantastic alternative to roof-mounted storage systems, which was necessary for my use with a convertible vehicle. The weatherproof bag it came with works exceptionally well and carries a surprising volume of cargo.It never rattled, and the bag never flapped around during use on a long road trip.The only downsides are that when the bag is full, it may make your trunk difficult to access. On a Jeep Wrangler JT model, for example, the trunk door swings open, and a full bag makes the trunk inaccessible from the outside. This isn't a big deal, since the trunk can still be accessed from the inside, but you should be aware of this minor inconvenience.The other thing I'll mention is that the bag comes with tons of straps, and both when tying the bag down, and when opening the bag while it's in the rack, requires a lot of manipulation of the straps. It's great because everything is very secure. But you should leave anything you want to access easily inside the vehicle, as the bag is a hassle to get into while it's tied down.With these things in mind, I have no real complaints. It does exactly what I want, and the product is a great value for what you get. The extended hitch bar is absolutely essential for keeping the Wrangler's spare tire from interfering with the storage space. This product is exactly what we needed.

The page says the product supports 500 lbs. I put on less than 200 lbs and it bent. Very scary when you're doing 60mph on a highway!They're going to harm and maim people with their substandard product.Also, the selling page says "free refunds", which is a lie. They will cover up to $30 in shipping costs. That doesn't cover it after you've assembled this tray with its parts that are meant to permanently stay in place!Even Amazon agrees. They took a look at the seller's page and completely fixed the refund problem for me.Dangerous item. Contacted seller twice, no help or explanation.

Works Great so happy to have extra storage without needing to get the inside of my car dirty.
