Needed a Halloween costume and I really like historic costumes. I thought to try this and if it wasn’t right I could send it back. It exceeded my expectations! It is so cool and I can’t wait to wear it. The dress itself is like a silky fabric (not really a colonial fabric) but it’s a costume I don’t care. The apron is cotton so it’s perfect.Seems true to size. I am currently 5’4, 198 pounds, size 16. I ordered an XL and it fits nicely. The elastic is slightly tight on the waist but if I had gone bigger the top would be sloppy so it’s good how it is. For reference I wear a 38D so if you’re around that the bust will fit you.

I purchased this prairie dress to wear at our school’s centennial celebration. I was very impressed with the quality of the item. The dress has a zippered back. The dress has an elasticized waistline. Very comfortable fit. The apron is of nice quality as well. The bonnet is lightweight so it is easy to wear. I purchased an underskirt separately to wear under the dress to give the dress a fuller look to mimic the era however, it was much too warm on the day of the event to have an extra layer. I received many compliments on the outfit. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Very nice costume dress. Not cotton- only the apron, but it doesn’t wrinkle and lays nicely. Well made for a costume. I’m 5’0 105 pound adult and got a small. Fit well- just a teensy large on back but nothing the apron doesn’t fix.

Dress was made of a very soft material - I ordered bigger thinking I would need the extra room but I did not. So I would say this dress is very true to size. The delivery was a bit longer than other dresses to choose from when I had to reorder so I can not confirm true to size. This dress is one layer so lays very straight but has fullness to move.

This is so thin and see through it's like cheap tissue paper. The sizing chart is not correct. Usually I wear a Med-Large but by the measurements given on chart I went with an XL and it's giant. Don't waste your money.

Fit well. Fast shipping . Perfect “Amish” HALOWEEN costume. I am 5’5” and 150lbs. I’m happy I bought the extra large. The dress was thin and the bonnet stuck out a little too far for my liking but all and all it was a great -fun costume. Great value for price. It was nice getting the dress/bonnet/ and apron all together.

The size runs smaller. Very nice out fit.

I’m a 6 foot woman and this fits amazing, great material, definitely worth the price!! It doesn’t feel cheap or bad quality at all! I have no complaints about the dress at all!
