NordWolf21-Piece M35 Cobalt Drill Bit Set for Stainless Steel, Hard Metals & Cast Iron, Jobber Length with 1/4" Hex Shank, SAE Sizes 1/16" to 1/2" in Storage Case

I purchased this 1/4 hex shank drill bit set because I needed a set that is longer than the average hex shank drill bit sets and I wanted them to be extremely durable. I've experienced countless drill bits to brake off in the stud because they couldn't withstand the heat. This drill bit set shows no signs of weakening. The only drawback of this set is the writing on the drill bits isn't really legible. I like to grab the right size drill bit without guessing but unfortunately sometimes I have to guess when using this set. Other than that it's a great buy!

I love this set. Nice layout in case. Drilled through everything I've tried so far with little or no effort.

I threw these in to my toolbox for work. I don't drill holes all that often but I can just throw this into my impact and whip out a hole in fairly short order.

They are strong and solid. I was able to make holes on 3 different windows for air conditioners and make holes for lock on front metal door. I just moved to a new apartment. I went on the drill slow like it was said to do on a YouTube video for the tip not to burn and break, my first time doing this. I only wish there were more sizes. I added plastic screw anchers on the first two holes I was learning and practicing on, came out a tiny bit big. Everything turned out great. (You need a very good drill for metal, my brother lend me his since mines was cheap. I'm buying a good expensive drill next).

Great for drilling aircraft aluminum.

The bits work great on aluminum, but I also needed to use them on cast iron and the bit didn't drill into the metal - it just spun on top. I used several different sizes of bits on the cast iron, and one of the bits I used on the same spot on the cast iron and it barely made a dent. Also, like another person said, several of the bits were not straight so they drilled wobbly.

These are the real deal. I bought the 5-piece jobber set, and I've drilled steel, aluminum, composite decking, treated lumber, and wood, and these are the among the best low-cost, quick-change hex bits I've found. Felt like I took a chance when I bought them, but I guessed right.

I've tried several bits that broke or burned out before even making a dent on a harden steel i was trying to bore.. but this bit chewed through that metal in seconds. Id definitely buy it again

This 21pc drill bit pack is huge (roughly 8.5"x5.5"x2"). Definitely not something you'll want to carry around with your toolkit unnecessarily. I'll probably make a small 3D printed case for the ones I'll use most, and have the rest in the work truck if I need them.* Minus 1 star in part to the unnecessarily large case, but also for the delivery driver literally chucking this package onto my porch (security camera). Most of the drill bits were dislodged upon opening, but everything appears to have survived. I guess if I go to use a random bit and it just snaps I'll know why.

Worked as expected

3 stars:I bought these based on several other reviews and the 1/8 works really good. Cobalt bits + some cutting oil (which keeps the bits cool) = awesome performance.Everything was going great but then when I enlarged the 1/8 hole, and stepped up to the 3/32, the bit broke in half. I've never had anything like this happen before.Didn't put too much pressure on the 3/32 bit either, just let the oil and the bit do its work... YMMV. That's why its a 3 star - would have been 5 stars!But those cobalt drill bits… totally worth it.
