This is a big spray bottle of the handiest wound care solution for pets (although marked for animal use, it is the same formula as Puracyn for humans). This stuff is amazing, and I keep it for wounds/scratches, etc on my dogs, and also my husband and I use it on ourselves. Doesn't really sting, kills bacteria, and promotes quick healing. We always have it in the house. It does not stain skin, it's a clear solution, however, if sprayed on clothing, it may bleach color. (Have to try it on spot stains on whites, haha)

My large dog had a raw spot about the size of a quarter on her hip....not sure what happened to cause the wound, but it seemed to bother her a lot. Based on the reviews of this product, I ordered it, but I was skeptical that it would help much. To my surprise...this medicated spray works great!!! Just one day after treatment, I could see improvement on the raw spot (no open wound; it was a flat very reddened area that appeared to be infected). I also like that it is in spray form because it made treating the wound easy. After about a week of applying this medicine, her wound has healed. I highly recommend this product.

Works well but you don't get much for the price

I love opossums and they often hang out in my backyard. One night a female showed up having obviously just been bitten. She had a patch of hair torn from her side and 2 puncture wounds that were red & bloody but not actively bleeding. Other than that she seemed just hungry and thirsty as usual. She’s a wild animal and I don’t ever touch them unless it’s to help. I didn’t want to frighten her by grabbing her and I know from experience an animal like this will be put down if I called animal control. They’re not even open in the middle of the night where I live anyways and most are taken to a local 24-hr vet during the evening for triage, etc. There’s only a certain amount of $ provided by the county hat can be spend to treat each animal based on their estimated possibility of survival. I quickly grabbed my phone and ordered a bottle of Vetericyn Woundcare. It was one of the only wound sprays that could be delivered the next day but also had good reviews. I hoped the opossum would visit the next night so I could spray her and she did. Since I wasn’t able to touch her, I adjusted the nozzle to fan out (instead of stream) and offered her some food w one hand while I sprayed her side w the bottle w the other. I sprayed 3-4 really direct sprays all over the wound. She’d obviously been bitten by another animal and it had torn off her fur. I didn’t see her for a week after that but when she came, it looked like the puncture wounds were healing just fine. But on her other side, she had another patch of missing fur and more puncture wounds! I again sprayed her and hoped for the best. I didn’t see her for 3-4 weeks but when she came back around, I could see the wounds had closed up w no infection and the fur was growing back. This made me very happy! I’m thrilled w this product. I wasn’t sure how she’d keep those wounds from getting infected but w this woundcare spray, it wasn’t an issue. I would definitely recommend Vetericyn Woundcare. It worked for me and my opossum. And who says only cats have 9 lives?

Our dog was chewing up his own skin due to fleas even after the fleas were eradicated. I started spraying the open skin areas twice a day and it started looking better very quickly and healing over. After 3 weeks his fur has grown back and his wounds are gone! During the first week he really hated being sprayed but over time I think he realized it helped him feel better and he didnt gladly stood there while I sprayed him. I would 100% recommend this product!

Excellent product!!My cat had an upper hip bite from stray cat.Infected and leaking puss.I took a chance and ordered this product.Best choice ever!!Product worked as it should.Cleared infection up within a couple of days.Totally amazing!!

Great spray for irritated skin on my dog. Last a long time. Safe if injected. Not sticky.
