Aidelife Expert Surface Grinding,Dust Shroud for Angle Grinders 115mm/125mm

It arrived quickly along with a diamond grinding cup disc I had ordered separately at the same time. I had hoped they would fit my Hilka Procraft 4 1/2 inch (115mm) angle grinder. Trying to fit the shroud to the Hilka was a bit tricky. I needed to use the thin steel spacer ring. Unfortunately it wasn't very round and I had to make it rounder to fit. It was fairly easy to bend, I only needed my fingers and pipe grips. When I had done this I found that the circular shroud brush wasn't level with the cup wheel, and the angle grinder axle wasn't central to the shroud. I had noticed previously that there was a pip on the black metal clamping ring on the shroud. So I rotated the metal spacer ring until the gap was over the pip. The shroud was then level with the wheel with the axle centred. Having done that I still couldn't fit the shroud. The bolt with the lever clamp was too short. So I removed the rectangular washer and I was able to fit the lever clamp. I was then able to do the nut up tightly with the spanner provided. The cup wheel was about 8 -12 mm, too low to sit just slightly below the brushes. The instruction booklet drawing showed that the wheel should stand proud of the circular brush bristles. I don't believe this. To catch all the dust the wheel should sit a little lower than the brush bristles. The grinding wheel is 22mm high, which is standard according to my survey of 17 diamond cup wheels on Amazon. With the shroud and cup wheel fitted to my angle grinder I had to push down very heavily to compress the bristles sufficiently for the cup wheel to touch the surface I needed to smooth. So much force was needed it would have been too tireing to use. The bristles seemed too thick, stiff and numerous to cut down to size with scissors. I noticed that the bristles on my door storm guard draught excluder had softer bristles. So I removed the brushes from the shroud, slid the brush out of the draught excluder and cut the excluder brush to the sizes needed and fitted them to the shroud. This was easy and only took a few minutes. The cup wheel now was able to contact the concrete surface with minimal pressure while providing a good seal. The advertisers claim it fits the leading brands of angle grinder but one reviewer claimed it didn't fit Bosch, Makita or DeWalt. It is essential to use a shroud and vacuum cleaner because Silica dust is dangerous to lungs. The shroud itself is robust and quite high quality and can be modified to work properly without much effort. Finally afterthese modifications the combination worked beautifully at smooting some rough concrete. I just need to buy a new storm guard brush draught excluder.

Do not buy if u want to cutting as normal disc’s are not big enough to stick out the front of shroud limited uses

There isn't enough of the blade exposes to cut anything. It shows it being used to cut into a wall but I'm not sure how a 1cm cut is going to be useful.

Het product zou moeten passen.Maar de schijf loopt aan in de stofkap, en met de extra ring wiebelt de schijf waardoor het onveilig is om mee te werken.De bijgeleverde sleutel om de schijf te demonteren is 2-3 mm te klein waardoor die niet past.De C E op de verpakking staat eerder voor China Export dan Conformité Européenne.

La utilicé con un disco de copa de diamante y funcionó perfectamente. Lo utilicé sin aspiración de aire y, aun así, retuvo bastante bien el polvo. Para los soportes de lijas y discos de pulido no sirve, porque sobresalen demasiado.

Für den Preis angemessene (China) Qualität.Es werden verschiedenste Adapterringe mitgeliefert...irgendeiner passt dann auch.Die Klemmung ist mittelmäßig fest, was auch an der Aufbauhöhe im Klemmbereich liegt (hängt von der verwendeten Flex ab). Dadurch ist die Haube etwa exzentrisch, weshalb sich die Schleifscheibe etwas in das Gehäuse arbeiten kann.Die Absaugung funktioniert hervorragend. Habe damit eine Betontreppe im Wohnbereich abgeschliffen...quasi staubfrei.Für den Heimwerker sinnvoll, für einen dauerhafteren Einsatz vermutlich nicht haltbar genug.Preis/Leistung ist gut.

Usei em conjunto com um disco para desgastar betão. Praticamente deixa de existir pó.

Passt auf meine METABO (ohne Adapter) und FLEX (mit einem der vielen Adapter). Der Schleifstaub wurde hervorragend abgesaugt beim Abnehmen eines alten Wandanstrichs. Eingesetzt wurden METABO - Winkelschleifer und KÄRCHER WD 6.Dank des verschieblichen Haubenstückes kommt man mit einer 125er Scheibe nahtlos in Ecken. Hier ist auch die Schnellbefestigung sinnvoll, da man bei Arbeiten in solchen Bereichen diese Aussparung auch mal drehen muss, um überhaupt hinzukommen.Einwandfrei für das Geld - Profiteile kosten bis zum Zehnfachen.
