It has no connection limit, only what your router and internet speed support.

Q: This was the easiest set up I have ever seen, Does anyone know how to make the alarm soud louder?

There isn't an alarm on it, just a notification on your phone.

Q: Is 2.4 ghz router required to set up or can it be set up with 5 ghz only?

A 2.4GHz network is required when first added, not compatible with 5GHz. But after successful pairing with the mobile phone APP, 2.4G and 5G are available, thank you

Q: Can this be setup for my amazon echo to tell me when the door is opened rather than a phone notification?

At first download the Tuya APP on your mobile phone, you can use it normally. Or open the APP of the your amazon echo, there should also be an option, just select the door sensor binding. You can try to use it, it also compatible with Alexa, Google Home, Siri.
