Great little comb that's really helped us combat our cats' fleas. Sometimes the angle can be tricky, especially if you have a stubborn cat (pretty much all cats?) so be prepared to reposition yourself a lot.My partner and I found the best results by filling a cup with hot water and some flea shampoo, dipping the comb in and then immediately combing the cats. Any fleas not caught by the comb will usually resurface as they don't like the shampoo, making them easier to nab on a second sweep!

Adopted a cat 3 months ago so trust was an issue.She will attack if uncomfortable or nervous so I was very wary, as was she running away at first then inspecting it closely when I gave up and left it near grooming spot.I started with the comb teeth trailing which doesn't pick fleas but has a gentle massage effect.Already very suspicious of the new item and jumpy, I took it slow, only doing parts she's happy being stroked or scratched by hand. Scratching there 1st then bringing the comb for a trailing sweep and let her sniff it (which she did intently)After about 5 minutes she wasn't keen on inspecting the comb and I led with Comb teeth at back of neck and top of head. She realised she liked this and took a few more sniff and inspections. I then did the length of her back from head to tail within 30mins with no problems. I tried to do other parts but that was problematic so I left it at success for day one.The pictures taken are for day 2. I decided to use white cover so I can see escaped fleas and had duct tape strips ready to trap them.Strips of tissue to clean the comb and a bowl of soapy water for tissue with fleas removed from comb.Day 2 was a lot easier and she let me get under her chin side of neck breast plate and parts of legs though cagey about stomach and inside of rear legs areas.Day 3 was supposed to happen after a trip to pet shop for flea spray as escapees were popping up all over the place. That had to wait as she saw me with the comb and jumped on me pushing her head towards comb holding hand. She was now turning to expose the parts she wanted done.Its been 5 days now and it's a returning from outside ritual she loves - unlike the fleas. We're not at the shampoo stage yet but the food additive flea tablets, comb and shampoo hopefully will rid her of all fleasThe more inaccessible parts can be achieved with time. Fleas was the main reason for purchase but there's a surprising amount of flea poop, vegetation fragments, sticky seeds etc that came off her.PS the poop is blood coloured (their food) so don't panic like I did when the white cover seems to show random blood splatter.

This product is just something unreal. Does the job as pictured. I could believe how many fleas my little kitten has!! Awful. To think about but thankful to this handy comb for the help to get rid. It only arrived yesterday but I prob found 20+ fleas with its help. Just be careful as they jump all over the place if you are not quick. If your pet suffers from fleas this is a MUST. Very happy with my purchase, I will buy another one for my parents' kitten as well!Fast delivery BTW, arrived in 2 days.

We de-flea the cats regularly with spot on but one of the cats in particular is always still super itchy and I caught a nasty flea biting my wrist!!!! I bought this comb and wow! I got 7 fleas off her in the first groom and she loved it. Will keep it up regularly. A slightly damp comb with dish water works well

Fine enough to capture any lurking beasties (should there be any; I personally don’t rely on a flea comb to eradicate fleas as I don’t feel any comb can rid cats of them, only lessen numbers. Instead I use medication & use the comb to properly monitor that my 2 kitties remain flea-free as tolerance to medication can build up, kitties are clever at hiding flea pills behind back teeth & then spitting them out undetected unless mouths are carefully checked after administration etc!) I also like combs like this to comb out any ticks or embedded plant seeds etc for which it’s perfect; not so tight as to pull uncomfortably on the dense fur of my long-haired, very fluffy half-Persian kitty but fine enough & long-toothed enough to get down to skin-level.

My Tom cat has a long coat and loves being groomed so this comb is a great way to Detect fleas, eggs and larvae. I have not found anything in his coat to date. Sadly his sister who also has a long coat would rip my head off if I tried using it on her.

The handle on this is great for my Mom who has bad hands and a long haired cat that insists upon covering himself in grass seeds which stick to his fur and his skin. Also, because the teeth are slightly longer than the previous comb, it works far better.
