PenofinRed Label 5 Gallon (Cedar)

I used a sprayer to protect, seal and beautify my out door deck cedar cieling enclosure. As always Penofin worked great and brought the dry aged cedar back to life. A little challenging spraying overhead BUT we got er done. Amazon great to work with - I had no problem returning the extra unused material.

This is absolutely best stain and sealer I've used. It penetrates deaply into the wood. It has a much lower odor than minwax stains and the odor dissapates after a day not week like minwax. I used the color transparent Western red cedar. It's the perfect color for cedar shakes and siding. Shakes will appear a bit darker than cedar siding or trim because they are a bit more porous so hold more pigment. It gives a nice contrast when using both on exteriors. This stuff dries fairly quickly if outside. Pieces are workable within a few hours after staining but excess stain must be wiped off after application. Water beads right off stained wood. Great product. Will only use this for anything outdoors.
