This really surprised me!

I have been playing a Squire Classic Vibes Mustang bass & always wanted to try one of these out. The sound really impressed me. It had way more definition than my Mustang bass & more versatility. The 28.6” scale length took a little getting used to because your arm doesn’t stretch out but once I got used to it, it became more comfortable. I recommend purchasing the Ibanez Mikro bass soft case. It’s nicer than my more expense Fender case and has 2 more pockets. I really like the walnut finish because it doesn’t attract finger prints. It’s very light with very little to no neck-diveThe only CON I had was the bass being noisy. If you live in a home that has interference, you will hear noise. All I did was shielded it using copper shield tape found here on Amazon and I lined both pickup cavities and the control cavity and I soldered a wire from the P-bass cavity to the J cavity and from there to the 1st volume pot and it’s nearly completely silent.I know my home is noisy because my Mustang not the Mikro made noise at 2 different music stores before shielding.

Easy to play

Well, it's like this if you're 78 years old and you've been a guitar player for 65 of those years. Going to a short scale base is so much easier and it sounds good. I play with some friends out in Arizona. I thought a bass might work better than 2 guitars. We also got a guy that plays harmonica, and he's pretty damn good. It's a good bass, and it's a small price to pay for having a good time.

Sounds great when I play it right

I'm a beginner bassist so I never owned a bass before. To me, the bass feels right size and weight wise, it is easy to handle and to play on. I used it with a small Fender amp speaker at home for practice and it was great and later on stage when plugged in to better sound system, it sounded fantastic. All wood body which gave it a nice build quality and I just love how this looks. I'm sure there are better basses out there in the wild but this one felt great for a first time bassist like myself.

Great buy. Sounds like a 30" short scale but more compact and user friendly.

For a case or a gig bag, it is approximately the same size as Strat or Tele. That also gives you your comparison if you're wondering how this smaller bass will look on you. A great bass that you will want to take anywhere in the house because it is solid but light. I always recommend a full set up when buying any guitar and the action required some adjustment, but nothing I could not do myself. I normally leave bass strings on forever but these are round wounds and I prefer flats. So change strings and maybe the electronics but that is down the road. This guitar is pretty much ready to go out of the box

Child-sized but I’m happy

I ordered this guitar on a whim because I was looking for an electric guitar and they had a used, very good for a substantial discount. So, I pulled the trigger. Glad that I did. The guitar is very small, but pretty and plays so easily. I am an accomplished guitarist and keyboard player on piano and organ and play in bands. I needed a bass guitar to do some recording. This will do just fine. I would not be ashamed to appear in public playing this either.

This bass is exactly what it needs to be

If you are an adult starting out or getting re-aquainted with the bass guitar (as I am), or you are shopping for a younger person, this guitar is near perfect. The complainers will say that it is too small. It isn't. Yes, it's a bit smaller than a full size bass guitar, but the tuning, strings, frets, etc., are pretty much the same as a full size base, just a somewhat smaller package. For the purposes of developing finger dexterity, technique, hand eye coordination (if you read sheet music, as I do), there is absolutely nothing wrong with picking up this guitar. It has great feel and tone. I played decades ago, and I was a bit apprehensive at the size (WHICH I KNEW GOING IN) but I thought maybe it would be a good place to start over. I was right. I love this bass and I am confident that, when the time is right, I'll move up to a full sized bass. Don't let the haters deter you. For the money, this is perfect (for me anyway).

Beginner here.. excellent bass with nice body.

The media could not be loaded. I had a guitar when I was a teen but I didn't have the learning motivation and drive that I do now at 39. Solid instrument with a trusted brand name. The mikro feels about as big as my old guitar without the additional scale. I'm learning with scales on the internet and am having a positive experience so far. I was worried about it being sent via delivery but it was packed efficiently. I'm pretty sure it was tuned, but not totally sure on that part. But the cardboard box it comes in now serves as my case I store it in because it doesn't leave the house yet. Styrofoam in the box is attached and cradles the neck and body. Nothing about this bass makes me worry that it will decline prematurely unless I did something to it like drop it, which I will hopefully never do. I'm an Ibanez fan so far, and the next bass i ever get as new might be the same.... Good luck.
